Lime Tree Creations and something special !!

Hello hello : )

I have been a busy girl today, I have FINALLY finished off an Dustic Attic frame using Kaiser Bonjour range !
I am totally in LOVE with this range ! I have also done the large dress form and have used the free mag for an example to follow. I have actually done a little one too, for a friend. I was so excited to give it to her that I didn't even take a photo first !

There are a lot of people out there making heir own hand made embellishments, and I personally think it is FABULOUS !! I could never do what some of these ladies do and I am more than happy to pay for these gorgeous quality made embellishments.
One of my favourites (and not just because she is a fellow SA gal) is Lime Tree Creations ! Becci makes the most gorgeous hooked beauties ! Each month she has a Challenge on her blog and at the moment she currently is calling Guest DT's : ) !!!

Here is my take on LTC's November Challenge, obviously you must use a Lime Tree Creation, but this month you must also include a hand made item. I have used Heidi Swapp invisibles, dot with Glimmermists SAWK and Peach Delight, Reminisce Easter Egg Hunt PP (cut out bunny) also some Kaiser Playtime, Cosmo Cricket De Lovely and Heidi Swapp letters. I have painted the chippy (unknown) lime and used snow cap dabber on it, some die cut leaves and misc flowers. I have used a Lime Tree Creations orange daisy from the October release and I have made the little flowers in the top right corner : )

Thanks for leaving comments, you make my day : )

Christmas spirit

WOW I have done 3 pages over the weekend, and have finally been able to enter a couple of challenges. Each month I write a list but rarely get a chance to actually enter, it might be the end of the month, but at least I have had a go !!
This one is for Anna's Craft Cupboard's October Sketch Challenge. There is no journaling on this page as it is for somebody else. I have used 3 bugs in a rug, deck the halls PP and the lettering is Christina Re, I'm trying to use something on each page, that I have had for quite sometime.

Thanks for visiting : )

Sketch Challenge

I have been so inspired by the sketch this month at Challenge Heaven also by the great example by Simone Morrison ... I just had to have a go ! I have used Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden PP's, with some Kaiser blooms, chippy and pearls !  I'm really quite proud of this page and how it has turned out, pics are from my Mum's wedding, in which I was her Bridesmaid, and 6 weeks away from having my first child !

Here is Heather's Sketch :

(Please do not use sketch with out giving credit to Heather and Challenge Heaven)

Thanks for looking : )

My first LO teaching gig ...

I had a very exciting weekend at the 'Paper Daisy' scrapbooking retreat at Pt Vincent SA !! Unfortunately I could only attend on the Saturday, but really enjoyed it ! I taught 2 classes, which was a big deal for me as I have not taught like this before.

Here are the 2 LO's I taught, one of which needed to be altered slightly due to a mis calculation in stock, but the ladies didn't mind and really enjoyed the classes : )
I can't wait to do it again, and hopefully next time I can stay the whole weekend ... (fingers crossed)

Back scrappin !!

Yay, finally I have managed a LO that I am really happy with. I have been struggling lately to complete LO's and just get the creative juice's flowing.
Becci's Technique Challenge at Challenge Heaven was just what I needed !!
The technique is using corrugated cardboard, and there is even a tutorial of how to use a pizza box (un-used obviously) and turn it into the main focus of your LO ! I have always wanted to have a go at this, and this challenge was a great time to give it a go ! The added criteria is to use a pin, simple : )
So here it is ...

I have also used ...
  • Dusty Attic - Chicken Wire and also Picket Fence (altered)
  • Green Leaf Pin
  • MME Lime Twist PP (Fly a Kite - LT1004)
  • Muslin colored with Suede Glimmermist
  • AC Thickers
  • Prima - Swaney Collection flowers
Here is another LO I have done for the August Challenges, this one is an Ebony OR Ivory Challenge, so you need to choose either Black or White and then add Red and Pink ! The added criteria is Gloss. I have added gloss to the gorgeous chippy ladybug by scrapware.

While I'm here blogging for the first time in ages, thought I's share a couple of other bits I've created. I was very inspired when I saw the new G45 range, Magic of Oz ! I just had to make a little wall hanging, with a little bit of fussy cutting, foam tape and red glitter a lovely little hanging was created to hang in my scrap room !

And lucky last is a card I was asked to make for a friend. I have made a gorgeous wall hanging using the G45 Once Upon a Springtime range, and my friend was inspired to make a similar one for her daughters 6th birthday. So, she asked me to create a card to go with the gift ! I'm not much of a card maker, but I'm really happy with this card, hope the little girl LOVES it, as much as I do : )

Til next time, take care and thanks for stopping by x

Oh and don't forget to pop on over to Challenge Heaven to be inspired by the great challenges each month !!
2 weeks to go til the August Cyber Crop !!

First Day

At Challenge Heaven we also have a Scraplift Challenge this month. A great opportunity to use other members LO's for inspiration to create something similar. I was inspired by a LO by Melissa Hortin, who had done a page titled 'Showing your cheeky side', it inspired me to use my Kaiser 'Class of 87' PP's and embellishments.
I have used very similar PP placement and embellishments are her, and I have also used a Lime Tree Creations Doily.

Like my doily, you could get one of your own from Lime Tree Creation, who have a give away each month and also a challenge each month !! This months challenge is Holidays, check it out here

Sweet Baby Girl

The July Challenge's are all up at Challenge Heaven, and I have created a LO for a DT example : )
The Challenge is a theme of New Baby and you must include a butterfly and bling ! I have been doing a bit of scrapping for a friend, and it's really nice to be doing some girly pages ! I have used Kaiser's Baby Range, I just adore these pink tones !!

"ANGEL"

.... not usually a word I use to describe my now 6 yrs old son,
but in this photo, he truely was my little "ANGEL"!

This is another LO for the Challenge Heaven Cyber Crop : ) Feel like I'm on a roll at the moment ! This challenge you needed Red, Black & Silver and Metal ... I really enjoyed playing with stamps on this one, I just love the effect of Metallic Silver Staz-on !! I also made my own flower used my TH flower die and added an earring to the centre of it. My friend on a recent visit game me some earring she had picked up cheap and knew I'd be able to use them : ) Gotta love that ! I used TH distress emboss powder for the lettering on silver paper, I have also added TH wings (LOVE THEM) and a RW chippie ...
Thanks for looking x

The nap time RUNNER !

Boy am I glad to have finished this LO !!
I was planning on getting some of the Challenges done before the Cyber Crop started so I could show them to the members as example BUT my my mojo has been a little absent : ( I had this on my desk for about 10 days and kept walking up to it, having a look and then walking away again. Today I sat and finished it YAY !!!
This is for Cyber Crop Challenge #1 at Challenge Heaven, you are to use Turquoise, Yellow and White and also to use paint. I have used white and turquiose paint and then clear (Ranger Rock Candy) crackle paint over it, as the background on the Cardstock. I have used the gorgeous My Minds Eye, Fine and Dandy PP's. I have also added a Kaiser Rhinestone Flouish and felt alpha's. I am glad this
one is off my desk and I have alsost finished another : )
Might be able to share tomorrow !! Stay tuned ...

There is also a Kids Challenge too .... here is Mr Ryan's LO : )
The kids criteria is simply an outside picture of them and to use the word 'play', he picked out some very old background paper I have had for years, and also some PP with bugs on it, which he kindly asked me to cut them out. He also HAD to use the cuttlebug, and decided he would use my TH die to make a couple of leaves !
For some reason he only wanted to use the 'P' and 'Y' alpha's and wanted texta for the middle 2 letters, CUTE !!

Thanks for stopping by : )

Challenge Heaven Cyper Croppin

The Cyber Crop has started over at Challenge Heaven, and on Friday night DT Becci instructed the members in a 'Blind Scrap'. I had given it a test run previously and this is what I came up with.
The pic is my youngest catching rain drops, totally love this photo !!
I have used Cosmo Cricket Earth Love PP's and a Dusty Attic Chipboard from Abundantias Gold. I have painted the chipboard with suede glimmermist and also used a couple of different smooch's to add some bright color to it, really like how the chipboard has come up.
This challenge is still open and you have til Thursday 23rd June to upload your LO !
So why not pop on over and have a go ! Full instructions in the forum !

My Boys

I have been a productive girl on the weekend, but there is only 1 LO I can share right now ... I have had a go at 'Grunge' in my take on the Series Challenge at Challenge Heaven. The criteria is to use 3-4 pics in a series and use stars. I thought I should scrap these pics of all 3 of DS's, I took these pics on mothers day : ) Thought that Mothers Day would be the perfect opportunity to get them all out together for a bit of a photo shoot at a gorgeous old church, I didn't get the amazing pics I was hoping for, but what I did get is pics capturing what they are really like, and that's everything I LOVE about them ...
I have used a Kaiser Rewind PP for background and some embellishments, and glimmermisted over a piece of mesh and also spattered and squirted some on too. I have also used a TH film strip stamp and a star stamp.

Challenge Heaven have a Cyber Crop coming up ... hope to see you there : )

Here is a sneak peek at one of the LO's I have done for the CC !! Oh I'm getting so excited !!!

Thanks for stopping by x

I ADORE Lime Tree Creations

I'm in love with these gorgeous embellishments hand made by Becci ! You can check them out here, love the color of these ones, especially those little ones !!

woo hoo gotta love the first of the month ..

Why ?? Because all the new Challenges are being loaded, where ever I look for inspiration there is activity and new DT examples, and I just love it !!
I have a LO to share as a DT example too, this is a Negative Space Challenge over in the new June Challenges, at Challenge Heaven !! The criteria is too leave atleast 1/2 of the page BLANK and to use a charm somewhere on the LO.
Here is my example, the pic is me watching the sunset on New Year Eve 2010, just to make sure 2010 was finally over !! Was not a great year for me, personally.

Thanks for popping by for a look x

The look

Just popping in for a quick share ... here is my take on a quote challenge, for Challenge Heaven He's / She's got the look, add criteria to use a shipping tag. Just had to scrap this gorgeous pic of my son : ) the tag is there but altered a fair bit, both the glimmermists I wanted to use both clogged up on me, so I splattered and blotched. New Challenges up on the first, looking forward to my first load of challenges as site coordinator !!

Adore

After a touch procrastinating I have done another LO : ) Seem to spend a lot of my time looking on line for inspiration, then pottering around the craft area, shuffling things ... This one is for a Challenge Heaven, Color Challenge. The colors are Soft pink, brown plus a color of your choice. I decided I didn't want to add an extra color. The criteria was to also use stamping ... which I enjoyed !! Love a bit of stamping, no point just collecting them !
I have used my stamps to clear emboss in the corners, also used timber brown staz on on transparency to create a little flourish and also a sneaky stamp on the title piece ... oh and also a script stamp on the flower ... I think that's it LOL !!
My father is going to hate that I have used pink in a LO with him in it hehehe !!

Here's a close up of some of the stamping !!
Thank for stopping by ... x

Party Animals

I am loving Kaisercraft's May release, Party Animals and Chapter One, this month they have sticker sheets that really compliment the PP's. I have had a play with the Party Animals and here is my LO to share with you ! I have also used Dusty Attic Flags. I only needed a section of what was in the packet, which is great value : ) I have sponged Kaiser paint on them to give them a vibrant color !

You can check out the PP's and chipboard embellishments and also some super cute mini stamps and much more HERE ... and you can also see a huge range of Dusty Attic Chipboard too !!

Hope to have a 'Chapter One' share for you very soon ...

Challenge Heaven News !

Well as my followers would know, I have been doing a lot of Challenges at Challenge Heaven this year. I really like hanging out there, not only are the Challenges fun and exciting, but I enjoy the on-line community feel. I have made friends and at times when my mojo has been absent, I was still able to admire others work and also chat about every day things.
Somethings have changed lately at Challenge Heaven, the main change has been
I am the new site coordinator
I am very excited about this new challenge in my life, and have already jumped straight in to my new role. Next month we will start having weekly challenges, and we will also be having a Cyber Crop !!
Hope that you can pop over and join us sometime : )
I also have a share, this is for National Scrapbooking Day, which was last sat. It is a page about ME !!

gotta laugh ...

Well I'm feeling like I'm off to a pretty good start this month, I have completed my 2nd challenge for May : ) This one is for my Challenge Heaven's Ebony OR Ivory LO, I have chosen to go with Ebony as I thought it would really make the Lime green POP !
I have used 2 pics of my DS6, he randomly will ask (if he sees me with camera) take a photo of this mum. On this particular day, it was a piece of chalk ... The photo was a hilarious funny face ! I laughed so hard and showed him and we both laughed and laughed ... he then said 'ok, now take another one' ! Then he smiled this Joker like smile and his eyes look like they are going to pop out ! We all laughed at the 2 pics together!
Not one of those perfect photo moments, but definitely something worth cherishing.
I am a tad pedantic when it comes to challenges and so I have strictly used NOTHING but Ebony and Lime green, it's just the way I am, If I do a sketch challenge, it will be very close to the original, I guess bending the rules might come with time ?
Criteria was to also use stamping, so I have used Kaiser - Grunge stamp to alter the background PP behind the pics, Ali Edwards stamps to create the journaling space and also a Tim Holtz Harlequin pattern stamp on the base.

Thank for looking, off to see what challenge takes my fancy next .... so many choices : )

KIU - together ...

Well I can hardly believe it is May already, so thought seen as I only completed 1 challenge last month, this month is going to be different (well that's the plan anyway) !!
This morning I spent my time stalking all my favorite challenge sites, full of excitement for new challenges : ) The Kraft It Up Challenge took my eye as it's criteria is no pp's, I thought thats easy I can just start with a piece of Kraft and any photo and go from there. Sometimes the photo and color matching can be the hard part for me, so this time I got my DS6 to pick the photos for me to scrap ... and this is the result

I have used a couple of Glimmer screens with Denim Blue Glimmermist to create the background. I have used tissue paper soaked in the same glimmermist, which is a first for me and also the texture paste with a stamp in it, under the title is also a first for me : ) gotta love trying new things ! I have also used a Lime Tree Creations Doily handmade by the lovely Becci, just to name a few of the goodies !
Take care for now, thanks for popping by x

Spirit

Yay, I have finally done a challenge this month ! Not sure why but have not managed to do any others so far ... but now that I've kicked started myself who knows what'll happen : D
This a number challenge for Challenge Heaven and the criteria is for 3 photos, 3 colours and 3 different alpha's ! Oh and a paper clip for good measure ...
So here is my take on the challenge, I have used Red, Green and an off whitish vanilla colour (if that is such a tone??) I have used Cosmo cricket - merry berry, Webster's - waiting for santa and also Kaiser - seasons greetings PP's. This is the first time I have used a embossing folder to create an embellishment and I got the idea from my good friend Simone : ) I have used it to make the baubles, and I adore the effect and might just have to try it again. The 3 alpha's used are Making Memories - cheeky shimmer, Kaiser - Forest Green and also Adorn it - Tiny etched natural. I have also used Flourish with a Bling Pearl flourish, some Kaiser stamps to make the tags (which is also where the circle paper clip is) some bakers twine and a cute little xmas tree charm I found in my stash !
Happy scrappin x

Sweet 16th !!

Not much happening in my craft area this month, but there has been some new additions in the furniture department, which has allowed me to shuffle and procrastinate a little more. I am not much of a card maker, but I was inspired to make a card for my sons GF who turned 16 on the weekend. As soon as I saw the challenge at The Lollipop Ladies I knew I had to give it ago ... I didn't blog it in time to load it onto the challenge, but the main thing is I did it ... and I am inspired again by the next challenge ... The challenge was Macaroons ...
I was inspired to use pastel pink and brown and the added criteria was to use gloss, and I used it in the form of dazling diamonds on the thickers numbers. Had not tried this before and found it very difficult to get the air bubbles out of the gloss.

I also made a card for her, just from me and the younger 2, I have used twinkling H2O's to paint this lovely Kaisercraft Magic Happens stamped image and I have used Beadazzles on the chipboard numbers.

Thanks for stopping by for a look, hope to get some scrapping done soon x
