I have had a few child free hours today and I have done one challenge YAY !
The color challenge caught my eye and here is my entry ...

Stuck ? Not anymore !!

I have not been putting much on my blog, because I have not been doing a great deal.
But like always I'm back again lol !!

To get my inspiration going I have used this months Stuck ?! Sketch I have used the 15th of Feb sketch. I have used a gorgeous photo of my father and his sister from when they were little, isn't it just adorable !!
I have used Kaisercraft 75 cents, Studio Calico alpha's, Kaisercraft flowers, A lil' somethin' dress pattern flowers and a Prima Heart, which my lovely mother in law bought for me ages ago and I finally found something worthy : )

Back again ...

It seems to be pretty consistent of me to not blog (or scrap) for ages and then get back into it, well ... I'm back into it ! I don't know what it is, that makes me take a long break with little or no motivation to get creative.

Over the long weekend, I joined in the Savvy CC, it was a great way to get the mojo going again : )

Getting Savvy

Been a busy girl, the scrap rooms getting a lot of love x

I have completed 2 more challenges over at Scrapbook Savvy, the first is a sketch challenge, which is based on a LO from the gallery, so there are 2 examples : ) Here is what I've done with it ...

The next page I have to share is a colour challenge, I thought this was going to be super tough ... until my eyes caught these PP's which suited perfectly !

The photo doesn't really do the colours justice, might have to go back to using the ole camera instead of my phone ...

WOW

Well I have been getting my scrap on lately, and have found a few new places to gather inspiration, which always helps get the creativity flowing : )

I was lead to a promotion running by Words or Whatever (WOW) through Anna's Craft Cupboard, you needed to purchase a WOW chipboard during Feb/Mar and you'd receive a filigree heart to use. Prizes were given out weekly and there were some great uses on their blog and FB page.

This is what I did with mine ...

And I won a prize ... 10 pieces of chipboard of my choice ... that was the hard part, so much to choose from !

I have also found a new forum (well new to me) to hang out, I found it through Stuck Sketches, and when I had a look, I liked what I saw !! So here is my first LO for Scrapbook Savvy ...it's a manufacturer challenge, and this month its Pink Paislee, I just happen to have some of the butterfly garden PP's, so here it is ...

I have also done the sketch challenge at Anna's Craft Cupboard ...

Life is good ...

Hello again, yes so soon I know ...

Well, I had done my stuck?! Challenge, but it needs to be redone and has been removed from the blog, from now on I'll only publish my own children in LO's. Lesson learnt ooppps : (

Anyway ... here is my take on the Scrap the Boys Challenge !! I think this is possibly my first ever 'scrap the boys' but every month I am inspired by their challenge !  This month is the title "Life is Good", red somewhere and hand written journalling ...

My page has been inspired by a LO I saw while blog hopping, you can find Saraz LO here ! Credit where, credit is deserved !
I have used MME follow your heart and I have used a crafter's workshop template for the first time too ! Loved it so easy to use, will put some more on my wish list : )

So I have filled the criteria althou it's a little hard to see ... there is some red on a flag, on a tag and lightly stamped under the hand writing that reads, "and it always will be as long as I have you 3 in it"

Does this thing still work ??

I guess I'll soon find out ... I have been AWOL from my blog for quite sometime, creativity was out the window in a huge way ... I even started to wonder if I had become a 'paper collector' instead of a 'Scrapbooker'.

While I have been away, I handed over Challenge Heaven to a new owner and then decided it was time to give my self a break.  I spent lots of time thinking about what Scrapbooking means to me and why I do it.  I have come to the realisation that I do it as a craft as well as to preserve my families history.  I often find my self (as I'm sure others do) admiring others work in magazines and on the Internet.  I have realised that there are SO MANY talented artists in the Scrapbooking world, especially in Australia.  I think for too long I have tried to compare my work to others, and I have been hard on myself that my Scrapbooking was simply not good enough.

I have now made a conscience decision to go back to Scrapbooking as a 'craft' and not try to be an 'artist', as this is better left to those artistic ones.

On that note ....  the paper rack has been dusted off and my creativity seems to be flowing once again ...

Here is a page I have done of my Nana, who is sadly not doing so well ...

I have used a bit of all sorts ... Kaiser and Bo Bunny PP's ... RW chippy ... Graphic 45 staples and some Tim Holtz bits ... Websters alpha's and some A lil somethin dress pattern flowers ! 

For something new I have covered the chippie in crackle and then added vintage photo distress stain, I really liked the effect ... here's a close up 

Pretty cool I thought : )

Lime Tree Creations and something special !!

Hello hello : )

I have been a busy girl today, I have FINALLY finished off an Dustic Attic frame using Kaiser Bonjour range !
I am totally in LOVE with this range ! I have also done the large dress form and have used the free mag for an example to follow. I have actually done a little one too, for a friend. I was so excited to give it to her that I didn't even take a photo first !

There are a lot of people out there making heir own hand made embellishments, and I personally think it is FABULOUS !! I could never do what some of these ladies do and I am more than happy to pay for these gorgeous quality made embellishments.
One of my favourites (and not just because she is a fellow SA gal) is Lime Tree Creations ! Becci makes the most gorgeous hooked beauties ! Each month she has a Challenge on her blog and at the moment she currently is calling Guest DT's : ) !!!

Here is my take on LTC's November Challenge, obviously you must use a Lime Tree Creation, but this month you must also include a hand made item. I have used Heidi Swapp invisibles, dot with Glimmermists SAWK and Peach Delight, Reminisce Easter Egg Hunt PP (cut out bunny) also some Kaiser Playtime, Cosmo Cricket De Lovely and Heidi Swapp letters. I have painted the chippy (unknown) lime and used snow cap dabber on it, some die cut leaves and misc flowers. I have used a Lime Tree Creations orange daisy from the October release and I have made the little flowers in the top right corner : )

Stuck ?!

Hello there Bloggers !

I have been inspired this month to have a go at the Stuck ?! Sketch 

I have flipped it and change a photo for PP, I have used some Kaiser Silly Season PP's and also Paper mania, festive frolics. 

Merry & Bright CC

The Merry & Bright Cyber Crop started last night at Challenge Heaven !! There are 2 challenges, one is a sketch and the other is a blind scrap ... and you have until this Thursday to complete ! So pop on over and have a look !

Here is my blind scrap LO, I have used Bo Bunny, winter joy PP's and distressed with popsicle glimmermist and snow cap paint dabber. I have used diamond glaze and some ultra fine glitter on the lettering and chipboard snow flakes !! Really happy with how this page has turned out. BIG thanks to DT Simone for a great page : )

I have also had a play with the sketch by Heather of Scrappy Sketches : )

 


I have used Bo Bunny again for this page, PP's from the Father Christmas range, I also have used a lovely little Lime Tree Creations mini flower !

Christmas spirit

WOW I have done 3 pages over the weekend, and have finally been able to enter a couple of challenges. Each month I write a list but rarely get a chance to actually enter, it might be the end of the month, but at least I have had a go !!

This one is for Anna's Craft Cupboard's October Sketch Challenge. There is no journaling on this page as it is for somebody else. I have used 3 bugs in a rug, deck the halls PP and the lettering is Christina Re, I'm trying to use something on each page, that I have had for quite sometime.

Sketch Challenge

I have been so inspired by the sketch this month at Challenge Heaven also by the great example by Simone Morrison ... I just had to have a go ! I have used Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden PP's, with some Kaiser blooms, chippy and pearls !  I'm really quite proud of this page and how it has turned out, pics are from my Mum's wedding, in which I was her Bridesmaid, and 6 weeks away from having my first child !

My first LO teaching gig ...

I had a very exciting weekend at the 'Paper Daisy' scrapbooking retreat at Pt Vincent SA !! Unfortunately I could only attend on the Saturday, but really enjoyed it ! I taught 2 classes, which was a big deal for me as I have not taught like this before.

Here are the 2 LO's I taught, one of which needed to be altered slightly due to a mis calculation in stock, but the ladies didn't mind and really enjoyed the classes : )
I can't wait to do it again, and hopefully next time I can stay the whole weekend ... (fingers crossed)

Upcoming retreat

I have been very lucky to have been asked to teach 2 pages at an upcoming retreat for Paper Daisy, on the Yorke Peninsula !! I am quite excited about doing this and look forward to meeting new scrappy friends : )

Here are a little sneak peeks of the 2 classes I'll be teaching, I'll share the LO's next week, as I'd hate to spoil the surprise for them !!

The first class I'll be using October Afternoon, Seaside range, love the vintage beach look of these PP's !!

A catch up ...

It has been awhile since I have blogged, but I have been scrapping !!

New September challenges are up at Challenge Heaven and here are 2 of my takes on this months fab Challenges !

This is one I have done for the Theme challenge, which you need to have a RIDE themed pics, plus a button. I have used Echo Park Little Boy PP's love these, so bright and playful ! I have used a Lime Tree Creations button aswell !

Here is the second of shares I have for this month's Challenges, it is a Title challenge and you must use either Dad or Father in the main title, in honour of Father's Day Today. I have used Bo Bunny, Peacock Lane PP's to do this cheeky LO of my dad and I : )

Back scrappin !!

Yay, finally I have managed a LO that I am really happy with. I have been struggling lately to complete LO's and just get the creative juice's flowing.

Becci's Technique Challenge at Challenge Heaven was just what I needed !!

The technique is using corrugated cardboard, and there is even a tutorial of how to use a pizza box (un-used obviously) and turn it into the main focus of your LO ! I have always wanted to have a go at this, and this challenge was a great time to give it a go ! The added criteria is to use a pin, simple : )

So here it is ...

• Dusty Attic - Chicken Wire and also Picket Fence (altered)
• Green Leaf Pin
• MME Lime Twist PP (Fly a Kite - LT1004)
• Muslin colored with Suede Glimmermist
• AC Thickers
• Prima - Swaney Collection flowers

Here is another LO I have done for the August Challenges, this one is an Ebony OR Ivory Challenge, so you need to choose either Black or White and then add Red and Pink ! The added criteria is Gloss. I have added gloss to the gorgeous chippy ladybug by scrapware.

While I'm here blogging for the first time in ages, thought I's share a couple of other bits I've created. I was very inspired when I saw the new G45 range, Magic of Oz ! I just had to make a little wall hanging, with a little bit of fussy cutting, foam tape and red glitter a lovely little hanging was created to hang in my scrap room !

And lucky last is a card I was asked to make for a friend. I have made a gorgeous wall hanging using the G45 Once Upon a Springtime range, and my friend was inspired to make a similar one for her daughters 6th birthday. So, she asked me to create a card to go with the gift ! I'm not much of a card maker, but I'm really happy with this card, hope the little girl LOVES it, as much as I do : )

First Day

At Challenge Heaven we also have a Scraplift Challenge this month. A great opportunity to use other members LO's for inspiration to create something similar. I was inspired by a LO by Melissa Hortin, who had done a page titled 'Showing your cheeky side', it inspired me to use my Kaiser 'Class of 87' PP's and embellishments.

I have used very similar PP placement and embellishments are her, and I have also used a Lime Tree Creations Doily.

Like my doily, you could get one of your own from Lime Tree Creation, who have a give away each month and also a challenge each month !! This months challenge is Holidays, check it out here
